So I just kept grinding with FATEs, and it only got even worse. I waited for hours to find someone who could help me, but it was futile. I was in desperation mode, so I found a Discord Group for Blue Mage related things, and frankly it wasn't that successful, the only time I got a reply was through Spell Learning. Doing it solo was tricky, the lower level ones like Tam-Tara and Halatali, was a close shave, but higher level ones, like Haukke and Qarn, I keep getting wiped, and I can't even get any further. Since it pretty hard to farm in the overworld, I've decided to level in the dungeons available for the job. I was getting more and more frustrated with leveling Blue Mage, what supposedly would take me a few hours to reach 50, took me 3 days to even reach lv 38. I kept dying many times, my health kept getting lower right before my White Wind could save my life, and I am taking risky gambles with my Thousand Needles with high level enemies, in hopes that I can gain much exp fast. I tried to farm FATES with the dual purpose of getting GC seals for my barracks, but it was tedious. So far, I thought maybe I can power level through this.īut by lv 30 onwards it was a pain. The first twenty levels were pretty much easy peasy, I had the internet on my side, looking up the available locations of the spells accessable within my limit, even got the Thousand Needles right before lv 25. So I thought, "Well it wouldn't hurt if I could level up to 50 and farm before the event ends." So out of desperation, I looked up online, and people keep recommending me, "USE BLUE MAGE, USE BLUE MAGE, USE BLUE MAGE". The fastest way to farm tomes is through repeatedly raid Bahamut T2, but even with any of the jobs I currently had, plus the incompetent random people that joined (that still do not know the mechanic EVEN AFTER WE GET WIPED FOR MORE THAN 5 TIMES), it was painful to grind. I only planned to level up Blue Mage, alongside the Manderville questline, once I finish the free trial Heavensward MSQ. Of all the things I have ever did in this game, leveling up Blue Mage is one of the worst experiences ever.
